Amino acid & compound

NAD+

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, in sunflower lecithin liposomes

A molecule in every cell that helps turn food into energy and supports cell upkeep, like DNA repair.

Evidence
C Human trials mostly used precursors; the strongest results are in animals
Studied for
Cellular energy and healthy aging

What studies found

In many tissues, NAD+ levels drop with age. Human trials mostly used the precursors NR and NMN, which can raise NAD+ levels, but health effects in people are unclear. Lifespan results come from animal studies only. Studies of swallowed NAD+ itself are still under way.

How much is in our products

ProductAmount
Liposomal NAD+ 500 mg liposomal NAD+ per 2-capsule serving

In studies: Most human trials used the precursors NR or NMN, not NAD+ itself; our guide doesn't list their doses.

We can't compare yet, because human trials mostly tested precursors rather than NAD+ itself.

Who should take care

There isn't enough safety research for pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it's for adults only. NAD+ precursors were well tolerated in human studies, but long-term data are limited. Possible side effects include upset stomach, nausea or headache.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement if you take any medicine, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a health condition.
