- Stamina comes from steady, progressive endurance training, plus strength work to keep you injury-resistant [1].
- Fuel and hydration matter on long days. Eat carbs and protein, and drink before you're thirsty.
- Recovery is where fitness is built. Sleep is your biggest recovery tool [2].
- Shilajit has a long history of traditional use. Human research is small, and quality and purity vary widely between products [3][4].
- Our gummies also contain a small amount of ashwagandha (40 mg). Studies linking it to less stress used 500–600 mg a day [5].
Stamina is built, not bought. This guide gives you a 12-week plan for endurance, fueling, recovery and stress, and an honest look at shilajit, a mineral-rich resin with a long history in Ayurvedic tradition and a small but growing body of research.
How stamina works
Stamina is your ability to keep going. Three systems work together:
- Your heart and lungs deliver oxygen to your muscles. Endurance training makes your heart pump more blood with each beat.
- Your muscles get better at using oxygen. Training builds more mitochondria, the parts of cells that make energy.
- Your fuel tank. Your body stores carbs as glycogen in your muscles and liver. On long efforts, it runs low unless you refuel.
Stress and poor sleep drain all three. That's why the routine below covers training and recovery together.
Your routine at a glance
| Pillar | What it means this week |
|---|---|
| Eat | Carbs and protein at every meal. Water bottle with you all day. |
| Move | Three easy endurance sessions and one longer weekend outing. |
| Rest & reset | 7 to 9 hours of sleep. One full rest day. |
| Supplement | If you choose Shilajit Gummies, take 2 gummies daily.* |

Eat
Fuel for long days
The current Dietary Guidelines put protein at every meal and whole, minimally processed foods first [6].
- Carbs for fuel: oats, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, fruit, whole-grain bread and tortillas.
- Protein for repair: eggs, chicken, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, Greek yogurt.
- Salt and fluids on hot or long days: a pinch of salt on food, or an electrolyte drink when you're sweating a lot.
- Trail-friendly snacks: bananas, dried fruit, trail mix, peanut butter sandwiches, jerky.
Smart swaps
| Instead of | Try | Why |
|---|---|---|
| An energy drink before a hike | Oatmeal with banana 2 hours before | Steady fuel, no crash |
| Skipping food after a workout | Chocolate milk or yogurt and fruit | Carbs and protein for recovery |
| Candy on the trail | Trail mix and dried fruit | Fuel that lasts longer |
| Just water on a hot, long day | Water plus an electrolyte drink | Replaces the salt you sweat out |
A sample training day
- Breakfast: Oats with banana, peanut butter and a drizzle of honey.
- Lunch: Chicken or bean burrito with rice, salsa and lettuce.
- Pre-workout snack: A banana or a slice of toast with jam.
- Post-workout: Greek yogurt with fruit, or chocolate milk.
- Dinner: Salmon or tofu, roasted sweet potatoes and green beans.
Three easy recipes
1. Trail mix energy bites (vegetarian, no-bake)
- 1 cup oats, ½ cup peanut butter, ⅓ cup honey, ½ cup dried fruit or chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons chia seeds.
- Mix, roll into balls, and chill. Keeps for a week.
2. Chicken (or chickpea) and sweet potato tacos (Mexican-American)
- 1 lb chicken thighs or 1 can chickpeas, 1 large sweet potato in cubes, chili powder, cumin, corn tortillas, lime, cabbage.
- Roast the sweet potato and protein with the spices at 425°F for 25 minutes. Serve in tortillas with cabbage and lime.
3. Red lentil and rice khichdi (South Asian, vegan, one pot)
- ½ cup red lentils, ½ cup rice, 4 cups water, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, ginger, a handful of spinach.
- Toast the cumin, add everything else, and simmer until soft and porridge-like, about 25 minutes.
Grocery list
- Produce: bananas, sweet potatoes, spinach, green beans, cabbage, limes, ginger.
- Protein: eggs, chicken thighs, salmon or tofu, red lentils, chickpeas, Greek yogurt.
- Grains: oats, rice, corn tortillas, whole-grain bread.
- Pantry: peanut butter, honey, dried fruit, trail mix, chia seeds, spices, electrolyte packets.
Move
The Physical Activity Guidelines suggest 150 to 300 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week, plus muscle-strengthening on two or more days [1]. For stamina, most of your training should be easy: a pace where you can talk in full sentences.
Always: warm up for 5 to 10 minutes and cool down for 5 minutes. Carry water, tell someone your route, and check the weather before heading outdoors. Stop and talk to a doctor if you have chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, dizziness or a racing heart.
4-week starter plan
| Week | Beginner | Building | Strong |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Easy walk 20 min × 3 + 45-min weekend walk | Easy hike, jog or bike 30 min × 3 + 75-min weekend outing | 45 min × 3 + strength × 2 + 2-hour weekend outing |
| 2 | 25 min × 3 + 1 strength day + 60-min weekend walk | 35 min × 3 + strength × 2 + 90-min outing | Add one hill session |
| 3 | 30 min × 3 + strength × 2 + 75-min walk | 40 min × 3 + strength × 2 + 2-hour outing | 2.5-hour weekend outing with elevation |
| 4 (easier week) | 25 min × 3 + strength × 1 + 60-min walk | 30 min × 3 + strength × 2 + 90-min outing | Back off 20% to recover, then plan your next goal |
Strength session (2 to 3 rounds): 10 step-ups each leg, 10 split squats each leg, 10 push-ups, 10 glute bridges, 30-second side planks each side.
Progress rules: increase your weekly total time by about 10% at most. Every fourth week, ease off to let your body catch up.
Moves to know
- Split squat. One foot forward, one back. Lower your back knee toward the floor, then stand. Mistake: front knee caving in. Easier: hold a wall. Harder: hold weights or elevate your back foot.
- Step-up. Step onto a sturdy box or stair and stand tall. Great for hills. Mistake: pushing off the back foot. Easier: lower step. Harder: wear a loaded backpack.
- Side plank. On your forearm and the side of your foot (or knee), hips lifted. Mistake: hips sagging. Easier: bottom knee down. Harder: lift your top leg.
Rest & reset
- Sleep 7 to 9 hours [2]. Most of your recovery happens overnight.
- Take one full rest day a week, plus an easier week every month.
- Stretch gently after workouts. Calves, hips, hamstrings and chest.
- Manage stress. A slow 5-minute breathing session or time outdoors can help your body switch from "go" to "recover."
- Listen to warning signs. Unusual soreness that lasts, poor sleep, low mood or a rising resting heart rate can mean you need more rest.

What's inside, and what the research says
Research on an ingredient isn't research on our product.
| Ingredient | Our amount | What studies used | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shilajit | 300 mg of a 10:1 extract per serving | 250 mg twice a day of a purified extract for 90 days in men aged 45 to 55 [3] | C: one small, industry-funded trial reported higher testosterone levels [3]; little other human research |
| Ashwagandha | 40 mg | 500–600 mg a day [5] | B: linked to less stress in several small trials [5]; our amount is far lower |
| Gokshura, ginger, mucuna pruriens, Panax ginseng | Gokshura 6 mg, ginger 10 mg, mucuna 6 mg, Panax ginseng 4 mg | — | T/C: mostly traditional use for these purposes |
| Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) | Not stated | — | A prebiotic fiber |
Evidence grades: A strong · B moderate · C limited or early · T traditional use or expert advice.
A note on purity: shilajit is a natural resin from mountain rocks. Raw or poorly processed shilajit can contain heavy metals and other contaminants. A study of Ayurvedic products sold online found lead, mercury or arsenic in about 1 in 5 [4]. Our gummies are third-party tested in the USA for purity and potency.
The honest summary: shilajit has a long traditional history, but human research is limited to small studies. Ashwagandha has more research behind it for stress, though our 40 mg is far below the amounts studied. Your training plan, fuel and sleep are where most of your stamina will come from.
Good to know: the gummies are vegan, have no added sugar, contain no artificial colors and have a natural tamarind flavor.

Myths vs facts
- Myth: Harder is always better. Fact: Most endurance training should be easy. Too much hard training leads to burnout and injury.
- Myth: You don't need carbs for endurance. Fact: Carbs are your main fuel on long or hard efforts.
- Myth: Shilajit is a proven stamina supplement. Fact: Human research is small. Treat claims with healthy caution [3].
- Myth: All shilajit is pure. Fact: Quality varies a lot, and some products have contained heavy metals [4].
- Myth: Rest days are lazy. Fact: Recovery is when your body adapts and gets fitter.
Safety first
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Shilajit Gummies if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ashwagandha may not be safe [5], and there isn't enough research on the other ingredients.
- Are under 18. These gummies are for adults.
- Take thyroid medicine, or medicines for blood sugar, blood pressure, sleep or anxiety, or immune-suppressing medicines. Ashwagandha may interact with them [5].
- Take medicines for Parkinson's disease or depression (especially MAO inhibitors). Mucuna pruriens naturally contains L-dopa.
- Take blood thinners or have surgery coming up. Panax ginseng may affect blood sugar and interact with some medicines [7].
- Have a liver condition. Ashwagandha has been linked to liver injury in some people [5].
- Have hormone-sensitive conditions.
- Take our Mushroom Gummies too. They also contain ashwagandha, so the amounts add up.
Possible side effects: upset stomach, loose stools, headache or drowsiness. Stop and call your doctor if you notice yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine.
When to see a doctor
See a doctor if you have:
- Tiredness that lasts for weeks, even with rest.
- Chest pain, fainting, or unusual shortness of breath during exercise. Stop and get help right away.
- Pain in a joint or bone that gets worse with activity or doesn't go away.
- A big drop in your performance with no clear reason.
- Signs of heat illness on hot days, like confusion, a headache with nausea, or stopping sweating. Get cool and get help.
FAQs
What is shilajit?
A sticky, mineral-rich resin that seeps from rocks in high mountain ranges. It's been used in Ayurvedic tradition for centuries.
Does shilajit increase testosterone?
One small, industry-funded 90-day trial in men aged 45 to 55 reported higher testosterone levels [3]. That's not enough to say it does this reliably. Our gummies are made to support energy and stamina, not testosterone.*
Is shilajit safe?
Purity is the main concern, as raw shilajit can contain heavy metals [4]. Choose tested products and check with your doctor, especially if you take medicines.
How many gummies should I take?
2 gummies daily, as directed on the label.
Do they have sugar?
No added sugar.
Are they vegan?
Yes.
