What studies found
In 31 active adults, 500 mg a day for 4 weeks didn't change body composition or grip strength. Single 1,000 mg or 2,000 mg doses didn't change IGF-1, metabolism, heart rate or blood pressure in 11 young men. No human study shows it raises testosterone. A 2023 analysis found many turkesterone products had little or none of the labeled amount.

Who should take care
There's no long-term safety data, and it's not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing. Talk to your doctor first if you take blood sugar medicines, including GLP-1 drugs, have a hormone-sensitive condition, or take hormone therapy. Ecdysterone, a related compound, is on WADA's 2026 Monitoring Program, so check with your sport if you're tested. Stop before surgery and tell your surgical team.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement if you take any medicine, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a health condition.
